Chapter 1130 — Book 2: Chapter 327: What cannot be understood (7)

‘I can’t see.
I can't hear.
I can’t feel anything.’
His whole body didn’t feel hot or cold.
‘All my senses have disappeared.’
Cale opened his mouth to speak.
He had no idea what he was saying.
He just said whatever.
And the talking stopped…
‘I'm going to die.’
Yes. Cale thought that he might die.
– Cale, Cale!
– Fuck, I should have stopped him! But he would have still died even if I stopped him there!
– Fuck!
– Soooooob.
‘I was wrong.’
The only thing he could hear were the voices of the ancient powers.
– Cale.
The Super Rock commented.
– Do not lose consciousness.
Yes, if the ancient powers did not keep talking to him, telling him not to lose consciousness…
Cale probably would have already fainted.
– Don’t close your eyes either.
Cale had no idea whether his eyes were open or closed.
He just put some strength into his eyes because the Super Rock told him not to close them.
But he could not see anything.
But the fact that he was alive should mean that the others were alive as well.
‘…No.
The Dragon half-blood!
That bastard!
That motherfucking bastard!
Did you think anybody would praise you for doing that, for sacrificing yourself like that? Huh?’
Cale was extremely annoyed.
– Oh, oh oh…! Cale, that’s it! Be angry! Don’t lose consciousness!
He ignored the cheapskate.
“H, huff, huuuff-”
His breathing became rougher.
Cale couldn't even feel that. That was why he couldn't tell the conditions of the people looking at him right now.
“…C, Cale-nim-”
Choi Han could not tell that his voice was shaking.
His hands were shaking.
The fight between the explosion that shook the castle walls against the Dragons and mages… trying to protect it…
The sight of Raon's nose bleeding…
He was concerned about all of that but they were all losing focus.
It was cracking.
It was different from Cale’s skin ripping apart.
Cale’s body was cracking.
His plate was breaking.
All of this felt unreal.
It felt unreal because Cale had ended up like this in less than one second.
Time.
Choi Han felt the scariness of this power with his whole body before he could even recognize it with his brain.
Time was flowing so scarily right now as well.
“… No, this-”
He could not be calm even though he wanted to be calm.
Cale's arm that he was gently touching…
That arm was slowly cooling.
It was going cold.
It had been as hot as a ball of fire, but now it was slowly getting cold.
“Huff, huff-”
His breathing was getting weaker.
“Fuck!”
Mila was releasing even more beige threads to tie up Cale's cracked skin, but…
“Fuck!”
Only her anger was increasing as the threads were unable to mend the cracks.
But Choi Han quickly realized that it was not anger in her voice.
It was fear.
The fear of potentially losing someone.
‘I'm powerless.’
Choi Han could not do anything right now.
There was nothing he could do.
He knew how to slash and kill people, but he didn’t know how to save them or protect them.
“Huff, huff-”
It was at that moment.
“I, huff, like this-”
He heard Cale’s voice.
Baaaaang—!
The shields were crashing against the explosion, making loud noises and shaking the ground, but… He clearly heard Cale’s voice.
Choi Han then smiled.
‘Yeah.’
He knew what Cale would say next.
‘You think I will die like this?’
That was what Cale probably wanted to say.
‘That’s the Cale-nim I know.’
It was at that moment.
“…Huff, gasp, E, Ele-”
As Cale faintly said one syllable…
‘Ele?’
Cale could not say anything else and gasped for breath as Choi Han thought about what Cale was trying to say.
But there was no need.
“Tasha-nim!”
He heard Ron’s voice.
Ron had the calmest look out of everybody here as he kept wiping the blood off of Cale’s body.
Unlike Beacrox, who was pale while helping by Ron’s side, Ron was calmer than anybody else.
But the name he called out was Tasha.
‘Maybe?’
As Choi Han's eyes clouded over…
“Y, yes?”
Tasha rushed over.
But there was an even swifter response.
Swooooooosh-
Wind.
‘The Wind Elemental!’
As Choi Han looked at Ron…
Ron was already looking at Cale.
“Young master-nim. You were talking about Elementals, right?”
Cale couldn't hear him.
Ron, Choi Han, and everybody else knew that as well.
Cale was well-aware of his situation as well.
“Huff. Huff.”
But still…
Through his heavy breathing…
Cale somehow knew and barely managed to get the new word out.
“Worl- huff-”
In the world where mana was unstable…
An existence that could move quickly?
Elementals were the only ones.
And the thing those Elementals wanted to reach?
“The World Tree!”
Tasha shouted and then flinched.
The Wind Elemental King's trace…
The whirlwind tattoo on her arm became hot.
– I guess we should help.
The Wind Elemental King.
It was her voice. (TL: Apparently its Wind Elemental Queen)
The Wind Elementals were already moving by the time Tasha figured it out.
It wasn't just Tasha's elementals.
Swooooooosh-
Swoooooooosh-
Large gusts of wind were moving in all directions.
What was going on?
Choi Han didn't even have the time for such questions.
But there was one thing he was sure about.
‘There is a way.
Cale-nim has found a way.’
That was the truth.
‘Damn it!’
Cale couldn't hold back his annoyance.
He was not in pain at all.
Honestly speaking, Cale was a bit surprised that he was still conscious in this extremely dangerous situation.
It would not have been weird if he lost his consciousness a long time ago and teetered between life and death.
– Cale. Yes, the foundation of this world!
The World Tree.
The group had thought Cale was talking about the World Tree, but…
What Cale wanted was the foundation of this world. (TL: In Korean, both start with ‘world’ but it doesn’t work as well in English)
– Hold on a little longer!
The Super Rock continued to shout.
– I'm sure the foundation of this world will have a way if you wait a bit longer!
The foundation of this world had said something to Cale.
‘You just need to become my representative and sweep through the aura of this world once!’
Using Cale as an air purifier…
No, leaving the reorganization of this world to Cale…
The benefit Cale would gain from it…
‘If you do this, your plate will get so strong that even the traces of it being put back together will disappear!’
Cale thought that this was the only thing he could bet on right now.
He was sure Mila was trying to fix him right now.
But rather than getting better, his senses were starting to disappear more.
It was as if his soul was getting farther away from his body.
It felt as if he was becoming a different existence than one of this world.
That was why Cale-
‘This is the only way.’
The reorganization of this world.
Cale had no idea whether his plate would stick back together while it was already breaking.
However, at least it wouldn't negatively affect Cale.
‘No, even with such concerns, I should at least try something!’
Wasn’t that right?
‘If I die…
‘Human, I'm okay!’
How could I look at Raon?
How could I look at my friends?’
And-
“…Dragon half-blood… You fucker, I will not let you… die… Without even hearing… your name……”
‘To make a name for that bastard, huh? I thought long and hard about it. Huh?
You son of a bitch.
I am going to save you.
I'm going to make sure you are alive no matter what it takes.’
“…Y, you think I will die, like this……?”
He would not die.
He had too many regrets to die right now.
– Cale, it’s coming! It's on its way! This aura-
He heard the Super Rock's delighted voice.
Cale then felt it.
Despite not being able to see, hear, or smell anything…
This was the only thing he could feel.
Life.
Being alive.
The moment he felt that power wrap around him…
Cale spoke in an annoyed voice.
“…F…uc…k……”
‘Why are you so late?’
Yes. Fine.
‘Air purifier.
Let’s do it!’
– Yes, Cale. This is worth trying!
Cale felt the immense life sweep over him as the Super Rock said that.
One in particular was the first to react to that power.
– Soooooooooooob-!
The crybaby who had been sobbing his heart out… The Vitality of the Heart reacted.
Boom!
Cale felt his heart thump.
The first thing he had felt since getting to this state…
His heart reacted to that ‘life.’
‘Ah.’
Cale took a breath as the aura of life filled his whole body.
It was getting easier to breathe.
As he took a breath, he felt an aura coming in through his nose.
– I'm here too.
It was wood.
The fresh scent of grass and flowers stimulated Cale’s nose.
Cale could feel it from just the scent.
He could feel the ‘life’ of the numerous plants, animals, and living beings from Aipotu.
He then heard it.
Chhhhhhh-
It was the sound of water.
Yes. This was the sound of water.
Why was he hearing water right now?
Cale heard numerous sounds of water by his ears.
Chhhhhhhhhhhh-
A strong current.
Drip, drip.
The cautious pitter patter of rain falling on new spring buds.
Chhhhhh-
The water from a small stream just big enough to dip your feet in during the summer.
Numerous different sounds of water stimulated Cale’s ears.
– Cale, you are still alive. You need to fuck over the God of War with me.
He also heard the clear voice of the Sky Eating Water.
Yes, all sorts of water existed around him, existed in the world.
However, it wasn’t just water.
‘It’s warm.’
Cale felt warm despite hearing the cool sound of water.
– Kahahaha!
Naturally, he ignored the Fire of Destruction's laughter.
The warmth surrounding his body…
This warmth felt like a bonfire in the middle of winter.
Cale finally realized that his body had become as cold as ice.
It slowly relaxed as his whole body filled with warmth.
‘This doesn't feel bad.’
Cale also felt a strong fire in addition to the warmth.
Just like his wildly beating heart…
Just like this immense aura of life…
The thumping fire…
The power that wanted to burn as flashy and as hot as possible even if it required burning its whole body…
Swoooooooosh-
However, that fire could not reach Cale.
A strand of cool breeze saved him from the fire.
– Cale, there’s still a lot of things to loot.
The fire burned even more beautifully after it came into contact with the wind.
It looked as if it wanted to shine brighter than anything else in this world.
Cale felt as if he could see that splendid image.
‘Ah.’
Yes. I can see.
I am not in the dark.
– Cale.
Inside this five-colored radiant light…
These beautiful colors were definitely the foundation of this world.
Cale could sense the foundation of this world moving past him and spreading out in all directions.
However, what Cale saw wasn’t those radiant colors.
‘I can see it.’
Beyond the barrier of the radiant five-colored light…
He could faintly make out the people standing around looking at him.
He didn't even need to question who they were.
– Soooooooooooob. Now I feel ready to work.
The crybaby old man.
– That looks delicious. I want to eat it.
The gulping glutton priestess.
– Haha.
The thief, the Sound of the Wind, patting the glutton’s head with a satisfied look on her face.
– As expected, I need to step in-
– Shut up. You useless fire.
The loudly laughing cheapskate of the Fire of Destruction.
The Sky Eating Water that made the cheapskate shut up with one statement.
And-
– Cale.
Even the Scary Giant Cobblestone that was looking at him.
The five ancient powers of the natural attributes were standing beyond the barrier.
The sniffling old man, a woman who looked like a young girl, and the middle-aged woman with her eyes closed. The mischievous looking young man, the grumbling yet pure-looking woman.
Finally, the large muscular man who made you think of a giant boulder.
– You can’t see us clearly, right?
The bulky man smiled beyond the barrier as he spoke.
– You can’t see us yet.
He sounded relieved.
– Cale.
Cale chuckled toward the ancient powers that were looking at him.
He had his usual disrespectful smirk with one corner of his lips curled up.
The ancient powers spoke to him.
– Let’s live.
Cale answered.
“Of course.”
He closed his eyes and returned to darkness.
However, Cale let the aura that was stimulating all of his senses take over.
He had no idea what was happening to his body.
– Angel-nim, Angel-nim!
However…
– I will share my aura with you!
Cale became certain after hearing the voice of the foundation of this world.
‘Right now, my body-
It is coming back to life.’
The immense aura of life.
His body that was easily embracing the aura that was charging toward him like a tsunami and letting it flow through…
His heart…
Boom. Boom. Boom.
It was starting to beat faster and harder.
‘I can live.
No, I will definitely live.’
Cale focused with his eyes closed.
He inspected his body starting with the senses that the ancient powers were awakening.
Not his body that had been ripped, injured, slashed, and broken.
Not his skin.
But the inside.
Cale looked for his plate and focused all of his attention on it.
Ironically, it meant that all of his senses moved farther away from Cale again.
It was only the sound of his heart beating that stayed by Cale’s side.
This was why he could not hear the Super Rock's mumbling.
– Huh? This, huh? This is getting bigger than I expected?
He naturally didn't hear the rest of the ancient powers either.
– Hey, hey! Hey youngest, if it keeps going like this, Cale’s plate won't be the problem.
– Problem? Hey you lowly fire! This is a good thing! He should be strengthened this much since his enemies will no longer be enemies but gods!
– Mm. This is tastier than the foundation of this world.
The ancient powers became silent after the glutton's comment.
The glutton then continued.
– Life.
The foundation of this world.
Of the numerous auras within it…
The power that humans, plants, animals, and all living things contained.
Life.
– This is delicious.
Crunch crunch.
The ancient powers became silent after hearing the glutton eating something.
– …I’m scared…….
Of course, everybody ignored the quiet mumblings of the Dominating Aura.
There were also existences that could not be silent nor feign ignorance.
“Ho-”
Eruhaben gasped.
He was looking up at the sky.
The ground and the sky…
The radiant five-colored like reaching down through the gaps…
An immense aura he had never experienced before.
The flow of that radiant light.
Just watching it gave him chills so standing was all he could manage, but…
That flow, the center of that pillar of light…
“That, that-”
“O, our h, human truly is different!”
“Meeeeeow!”
“Meeow!”
Cale was there.
The immense aura coming out from him extended past the flow of light, past the pillar of light and was spreading out in all directions.
That aura was so pure and warm while also being cool and fresh, cold and hot all at the same time.
It was as if-
“Yes. This is nature.”
The Heavenly Demon subconsciously mumbled while watching this phenomenal sight.
He heard someone’s low voice at that time.
“The world-”
No.
“It is returning.”
One of the enemy Dragons could not hide his astonishment.
“The world is returning back to normal.”
Even those who could not hear his voice could feel it.
The world was being reorganized.
It was being regressed back to the original.
That could only mean one thing.
It was what a lot of them had desperately wanted.
The White Snake could not hide her excitement and shouted.
"The world is coming back alive!”
Aipotu was coming back to life.
We also survived.
No, we can keep living on.
We can keep living here.
