Paaaat!
There was a bright light and Cale's group arrived in front of the log cabin.
Cale, Choi Han, Eruhaben, Raon…
They had to rush so only a few people came.
"Raon, over here.”
Eruhaben stopped in front of the log cabin.
He handed the orb mixed with black and gold light to Raon.
Raon carefully received the orb with his chubby front paws and tightly held it in his arms.
“Let’s go.”
Choi Han immediately opened the door at Cale’s command.
Dragon Lord Neo.
The three of them moved quickly to the basement of Neo’s lair.
The world of fluffy cotton-candy-like furniture appeared as soon as they opened the door to the basement.
[Welcome to the Seventh Evil, The Time Hell Dungeon!]
* * *
“Kekeke!”
Raising my very own precious omnipotent god.
New World, the name of that game world.
The Seventh Evil of that world, the Time Hell.
“Keke. This is my position now?”
The Heinous Dark Bear was caressing the throne that Neo, the original final boss, used to sit on.
The fluffy throne made of clouds was dazzling.
“I, the Heinous Dark Bear, has become the true ruler of the Seventh Evil……!
Kekeke.”
The teddy bear could not hide his laughter.
He clearly remembered how he had been ignored or abused in the past, but he ignored those thoughts.
A splendid future was waiting for him!
‘Mmm.’
He suddenly thought of the original final boss of this place, the Former hero Gisk, but…
He did his best to forget those memories.
‘The boss position is mine!
I can't let anybody else have it!’
The teddy bear tapped the armrest of his throne with his chubby and fluffy front paws.
He couldn't help but smile after feeling the softness of it.
“Hoo hoo.”
He could see the beautiful Grand Pavilion underneath the throne.
Thinking about the mini bosses all kneeling toward him there-
"This is amazing!
Kahahaha!”
He loved this so much.
The teddy bear did not hold back his laughter.
“Kahahahahahahaha!”
The moment his loud laugh filled the Grand Pavilion…
Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang!
The door to the Grand Pavilion was destroyed.
“E, eek?”
The surprised Heinous Dark Bear curled up on the throne.
“Ugh!”
However, someone rushed over as swiftly as the wind and grabbed the Dark Bear by the throat.
‘W, wait-, this person?’
Former hero Gisk. It was the scary swordsman who defeated Gisk with his sword art!
Choi Han.
He remembered the name.
‘If this guy is here, that means?’
The Dark Bear’s pupils started to shake.
The dark shadow actually ruling over the Seventh Evil… And the Third Evil…
The sir who may sweep up the Eight Evils and maybe the entire New World into chaos!
“The greatest of all e…vil, ugh!”
The Dark Bear could not continue.
“Sorry.”
Choi Han calmly apologized but he was in a rush.
That was why he quickly moved while continuing to grab the Dark Bear by the throat.
“Ugh, gasp.”
The Dark Bear sounded as if he would suffocate, so Choi Han urgently carried the Dark Bear in his arms instead.
‘I, I almost died……!’
The Dark Bear was so scared he stayed as still as possible in Choi Han’s arms.
But Choi Han was in a rush.
He was truly in a rush.
He raised his foot.
Baaaaang!
He smashed another door and walked in before putting the Dark Bear on the ground.
‘This is?’
The Dark Bear knew this place.
This room was where he had registered Choi Han, Raon, and the others as users.
“You’re here?”
“Gasp.”
The Dark Bear immediately knelt down on the ground.
“Oh greatest of all evils! To see my beautiful master like this-”
"Enough boot licking.”
Gulp.
The Dark Bear gulped.
The greatest of all evils.
Cale Henituse looked terrible.
His hair was a mess and his clothes were ripped all over.
The way he was covered in dust made it look like he had-
‘Ah.
Dragon Lord Neo.
He must have fought against him.
And-
He must have won!
Neo is dead.’
The Dark Bear tensed up even more after realizing this.
He had no choice as Cale looked extremely annoyed.
“Hey.”
“Y, yes sir.”
“Activate that device. Apparently your authorization is needed for it?”
The Dark Bear moved like the wind as soon as he saw the altar Cale was talking about.
“Yes sir!”
The Dark Bear immediately activated the orb on top of the altar made of crackers.
This was the device Neo had made to drag his subordinates and slaves into Aipotu.
Oooooo– oooooo–
The device that had been turned off for a while started to move and the crystal ball started to glow brightly.
“We can use it as soon as it is finished booting up, my lord!”
The Dark Bear was not even looking at Cale as he energetically explained.
He quietly observed the crystal ball that was slowly starting to glow brighter.
Cale felt a hand clenching his sleeve.
“H, human!”
Cale lowered his head after hearing Raon’s surprised voice.
Raon was grabbing Cale’s clothes while raising the orb in his other hand.
“I, inside the orb-”
The shield mana orb.
Cale urgently looked inside.
“!”
‘Fuck!’
The shield mana orb.
The black soul tightly bound inside it…
The black soul cracked more and even more black smoke was coming out.
‘Destruction.’
The God of Death’s comment about how it will end up breaking even inside the mana orb was coming true.
‘Fuck!
Is this Virtual Reality world useless too?’
“H, human, what do we do?”
Raon's voice was shaking.
Cale started to think.
‘What do I do?
What if this user registration is useless?’
His face looked annoyed but calm and his tone was nonchalant.
“Just wait. Let’s try this first and then think about it.”
Hearing Cale's nonchalant voice made Raon calm down.
They heard the teddy bear at that moment.
“It’s ready, my lord!”
Raon quickly headed toward the altar.
Cale’s body was already headed that way as well.
“Umm-”
The teddy bear hesitated for a moment before asking.
“Mm. Are you trying to register the thing inside the orb, my lord?”
Cale opened his mouth after seeing the look of confusion on the teddy bear’s face.
They had no time to waste.
But someone was faster than him.
It was Choi Han.
“Yes. We will register it. Is there a problem? I know you have to place your hand on the orb to be registered, but there has to be a way to register it even without a hand, right? Does there have to be physical contact to be registered?”
“Choi Han.”
Cale had never seen Choi Han talk so much.
But he understood Choi Han’s anxiety and calmly called out to him.
“…….”
Choi Han realized how he was acting and closed his mouth.
Cale patted Choi Han’s shoulder and answered the Dark Bear.
“The soul of my friend is inside this thing.”
‘Hmm?’
Raon flinched.
The smoke that flowed out of the black soul fluctuated a bit.
‘No way-’
Was it the smoke expressing an opinion?
Cale was still talking to the Dark Bear as Raon had that thought.
“I came here to save this soul. We need to proceed with the user registration as quickly as possible. But based on the look on your face, there seems to be an issue. What is it?”
Cale was in a rush but had to check everything to make sure that there would be no issues to the Dragon half-blood's soul.
“Umm, this may not be an issue at all, but… This device actually used the one from the First Evil as the foundation before adding other capabilities.”
The Dark Bear understood the severity of the situation and immediately answered.
“When I secretly infiltrated that place, I saw the First Evil bring things like this to proceed with the user registration. I didn't know that these were souls.”
The Dark Bear looked at the soul with an odd look on his face.
Soul.
‘Do I have such a thing?’
The Dark Bear questioned his existence but pushed the thought back.
This was an urgent situation right now.
“However, I’ve never seen one in such a breaking state.”
The First Evil.
They had just received some information about that place but asking about it was for later.
“Anyway, this crystal ball is an upgraded device so a soul is definitely able to be registered and physical contact can be used for registration as well!”
The Dark Bear’s face stiffened.
“However, this, mm, if registered in a soul state, a mid-grade NPC is not possible. Only an NPC. It will end up bound to this world.”
‘Hmm?’
The Dark Bear flinched after saying that.
‘Why?’
Cale.
Raon.
Even Choi Han…
All of them were smiling wickedly for some reason.
As the Dark Bear felt as if he was looking at three scammers…
Cale smiled as he answered.
“So what you are saying is, this Virtual reality… This soul will have to abide by the rules of this game world. And this soul would not be able to leave?”
“Y, yes sir?”
Raon immediately shouted.
“Human, this really was the answer!”
"Let's hurry, Cale-nim.”
Choi Han felt rushed.
His heart was beating quickly.
The Dragon half-blood.
Choi Han had been wary of this bastard and always kept an eye on him, but…
He could not forget the Dragon half-blood's final moments.
‘No.
Final moments?
I shouldn't say something like that.’
“Please place it here, my lord.”
The Dark Bear pointed to the empty spot next to the crystal ball on the altar.
“I got it!”
Raon quickly placed the mana orb next to it.
“N, no sir!”
The Dark Bear stopped Raon.
“The, umm, barrier outside? We need to get rid of it. That is not a part of the soul.”
“Ah.”
Raon flinched.
If they got rid of this-
“Human-”
Raon was about to subconsciously look at Cale before looking down at the mana orb in his hand.
“You can hear us, right?”
Raon looked into the mana orb as he spoke.
To be more specific, he was looking at the breaking soul inside as he spoke.
“I saw you move earlier. I'm sure you can hear everything we are saying.”
That was right.
The Dragon half-blood could see and hear everything.
Raon controlling the mana…
Cale saving the world…
Sheritt rushing toward him before being blocked…
The other Dragons trying their best to save him…
Countless people worried about him…
The Dragon half-blood had wanted to shout while looking at them.
‘Stop!
It’s hard on you.
I, I can just leave like this.
It’s okay for me to disappear like this.
I've committed a ton of sins in my life anyway.
If I can end it at least like this, I would be so relieved and grateful.’
However, his shouts could not reach them.
They were all doing whatever they could to save him.
The mana orb.
The Dragon half-blood could see Cale outside the gold and black shield.
He recalled what Cale had said once he looked into Cale’s eyes.
‘I am definitely going to save you.’
That was what Cale had said immediately after coming back to life from almost dying.
He could see Choi Han behind Cale’s shoulder as well.
Choi Han opened his mouth before closing it. However, Choi Han’s lips were shaking.
The Dragon half-blood could not believe this.
But he had no choice but to believe it.
The punks in front of his eyes were the type of punks to do this.
He then heard a shaking voice.
The voice was trying very hard to sound calm.
“Hey Dragon half-blood. We will definitely see each other again.”
It was Raon.
“You just have to hold on for a bit! I'll give you an apple pie when it’s done!”
‘Seriously.’
The Dragon half-blood thought to himself.
‘It's okay for me to leave like this.’
“You are great and mighty as well so you will be able to do it!”
However, his heart was having a different thought.
‘I want to live.’
Yes.
He didn't want to leave his home, he didn't want to leave these people’s sides.
“Hey Dragon half-blood!”
Raon spoke energetically.
“This method is worth trying!”
‘You know that too, right?’
Seeing Raon's gaze that seemed to be asking that question, the Dragon half-blood answered despite knowing Raon could not hear him.
‘I know.’
Yes. This was a method worth trying.
The process of his soul being registered to this world he had no idea about.
He just needed to hold on without breaking until the process ended.
The black soul fluctuated and Raon recognized this before speaking to the Dark Bear.
"We're ready!”
“Then I will get it started right away!”
The Dark Bear started to activate the crystal ball and…
Pssssssssss-
Raon got rid of his mana orb.
The gold and black mana disappeared and only left behind the small soul that looked as if it would scatter like smoke.
‘It’s so small.’
This soul was so weak compared to the souls the Dark Bear had seen when he infiltrated the First Evil.
The Dark Bear’s face stiffened after seeing this.
However, it was an issue to worry about after first trying it.
The Dark Bear modified the screen that popped on the crystal ball.
Paaaaat-!
Then both the crystal ball and the altar lit up.
‘Mm!’
The Dark Bear flinched.
‘T, that-’
Craaaaaaack-
He heard something breaking and the small black orb, the soul that was smoking, was starting to break even more.
It felt like only smoke would remain soon.
And even that black smoke looked as if it would disappear into the air.
It would not even leave behind ashes.
‘No!’
Raon looked at this and didn't know what to do.
The black soul on top of the bright look truly looked so weak.
It felt as if it would disappear.
He was completely tense from anxiety.
However, he didn't dare to open his mouth.
He was worried he would mess something up.
He was scared.
Craaaaaaack-!
The black soul cracked completely in half at that moment.
As smoke started rising up…
“Ah!”
As Raon's face filled with fear…
“Name!”
The Dark Bear, who was sweating bullets from being so anxious, shouted.
“The user registration requires a name! I just need a name to put, my lord!”
Name.
Raon subconsciously looked at Cale after hearing that word.
Cale then opened his mouth.
"Eden.”
The black smoke did not scatter despite the orb being completely broken.
The shaking black smoke…
Cale looked at this smoke that looked as if someone was doing their best to hold it together, and…
“Eden Miru.”
What name should he give the Dragon half-blood?
He thought about names with good meanings such as Raon or Dodam.
He thought about pretty or cool words in pure Korean words.
However, would something like that be important to the Dragon half-blood?
Raon and Dodam.
Those were names carrying the wishes he had for the two growing Dragons.
But what good would that do for the Dragon half-blood?
Become cool?
Become happy?
Enjoy yourself?
What would be meaningful for the Dragon half-blood?
Identity.
What had pestered this punk was his identity.
That was why he endlessly looked for a place for himself.
“Whether you are a Dragon half-blood… Despite you having been my enemy… Regardless of the fact that you were a Bone Dragon…”
The Dragon half-blood had come to Cale in many different identities.
Cale wanted to say this to the guy who had lived close to a thousand years without being able to find himself.
“Regardless of what you are, you are you.”
Eden.
The word used when it doesn’t matter which of the options is chosen. (TL: It looks like the author says Eden but it is not Eden like the paradise Eden but a literal pronunciation of the Korean word for ‘or’ as in this or that.)
Whether you are the Dragon half-blood…
Or an enemy…
Regardless of what you are…
“To me, to us, you are just you. There is no difference.”
The Dark Bear shouted.
“Eden Miru. I will register him with that name!”
Paaaat!
The altar released an even brighter light.
Cale looked at the black smoke holding on with everything it, the soul that would not scatter, and continued to speak.
"Well, based on the white gold appearance you showed at the end, you are already basically a great and mighty Dragon.”
And…
“I have no idea what form you will take with this user registration, but…”
Because of that reason…
“You will be able to become whatever you want to be.”
But why did that matter?
“Plus, you yourself already created a spot for yourself.”
Raon and Sheritt.
Not only them but others were waiting for the Dragon half-blood.
There were people who would accept him no matter his form.
Cale hoped that the Dragon half-blood would know this.
Finally, he shared his own wishes for the Dragon half-blood.
“So let’s live.”
“Human.”
Raon clenched Cale’s clothes.
Cale patted Raon’s head and spoke bluntly.
"As for your name, if you don’t like it, you can change it once your registration is complete.”
Smile.
A smile appeared on his face.
It could not be helped.
“Human-”
Raon spoke in a shaking voice.
“I, it’s done-”
Yes. It worked.
The black smoke…
The light on the altar wrapped around the black soul that looked as if it would scatter.
Something was starting to appear inside that light.
“Ha.”
Cale couldn’t help but scoff.
Once all of the light disappeared…
Something new appeared on the altar.
“It’s an egg!”
It was a Dragon egg.
Cale walked up to the egg.
– Hoo. Is a Dragon egg like this possible?
He could hear the Super Rock's shocked voice.
The Dragon egg.
The surface was covered in multiple colors.
"White gold.”
There was white gold similar to his attribute, light.
"Black.”
He was a Dragon with multiple colors. He had turned black after consuming multiple hearts of different colors.
And one more…
“Ha!”
Purple light.
White gold and black made up the majority of the egg and created a beautiful pattern.
But in between them, purple was visible as well.
[Eden Miru]
[State: Before birth (recovery rate: 30%]
[Title: Half Human Half Dragon possessing light and time]
“Pfft.”
Cale chuckled.
He placed his hand on the egg.
It was warm.
It was definitely alive.
“I guess you like your name?”
He then flinched.
“Huh?”
Clack.
Something twitched inside the egg.
As Cale flinched, he saw something push his hand away and tightly hug the egg.
Raon raised the egg with his whole body and shouted.
“Dragon half-blood, no, Eden Miru! You are also a Miru!”
Raon rubbed his chubby cheeks on the surface of the egg as he continued to speak.
“I will protect you until your birth!”
Clack.
The egg twitched again.
