Chapter 1133 — Book 2: Chapter 330: Me? (1)
13 min read ·
Boom-!
The ground shook.
Eruhaben sat on a chair and looked forward.
Through the open door… He could see a large castle outside the rectangular door.
Screeeech-
The castle door opened and he could see the person in the front.
“…Mm.”
Former Lord Sheritt.
The Black Castle was now right in front of the cabin.
Lord Sheritt stopped a few steps outside the castle gate.
“…….”
“…….”
The two Dragons silently looked at each other.
They could see people come out of the Black Castle one by one.
‘Ha.’
Rosalyn, Lock, Mary, Tasha, etc.
The group of people they thought would definitely be needed to take care of things in Aipotu now all showed up.
Cale had asked them to take care of the aftermath, but they must have only done some simple things…
“Like hell they only did some simple things. They probably didn’t do anything.”
‘I'm sure they just blew it off.
But so what?
Who cares if they don’t take care of things?’
Cale and his group had already done plenty with the things they had already done for Aipotu.
The rest were for the people of Aipotu to handle.
‘The Dragons surrendered after all.’
The enemy Dragons were truly cunning and petty bastards.
The returned world…
The unlimited potential that was once again given to the existences of this world…
The death of the Dragon Lord…
The restoration of the World Tree and the foundation of this world…
They saw all these things and quickly figured out their future.
That was why they claimed they did not want anymore fighting.
‘Bastards like that becoming gods?
Well…
I guess they listened to Neo because they were such Dragons.
The ones who were not like them-
They would have died like true Dragons.
Or escaped.
Maybe they are just feigning ignorance.
Ah, I don’t know.’
Eruhaben sat on the chair and gently shook his head.
“… Fuck.”
He tried to think of things to distract himself but the thoughts would not process.
“Eruhaben-nim-”
Rosalyn approached the cabin as the representative of the group.
The ancient Dragon was quietly seated on a chair near the door heading to the basement.
The inside of the cabin was dark without any light than the light coming through the door.
The ancient Dragon was sitting in darkness, unable to say anything.
The way he sat there with his legs crossed gave off no signs of relaxation.
“…….”
Rosalyn could not say anything.
Eruhaben nonchalantly commented at that moment.
"That punk was more like a Dragon than anybody else.”
No.
Eruhaben shook his head.
He had decided not to think of things like Dragons, or humans, or other limiting ways.
“That punk is better than me.”
“That-”
Eruhaben didn’t listen to Rosalyn’s urgent response and continued to speak.
It almost felt as if he was speaking to himself.
It felt like an incantation to himself.
"Sheritt-nim, then me. After us in the Dragon half-blood.”
“Excuse me?”
“The length of our lives.”
“!”
‘Ah. That’s right.’
Rosalyn thought about how the Dragon half-blood was older than Mila.
“But this time, that punk was the most adult-like. Yes. He was much more adult-like than me this time.”
Eruhaben chuckled in a self-deprecating way.
"For some odd reason, I kept thinking that he was a young little punk. I think I treated him as if he was around Raon's age.”
They had no real relationship and had never really had a proper conversation, but…
For some odd reason, Eruhaben could not treat the Dragon half-blood the way he treated Mila or Sheritt.
It was not simply because they had started as enemies.
For some odd reason, that bastard felt young.
Was it because he was a chimera-, a Dragon half-blood?
“…My view was limited.”
A voice full of sighing and anxiety came out of the Ancient Dragon's mouth.
“Then.”
Rosalyn spoke at that time.
The ancient Dragon looked at her.
The way Rosalyn was doing her best to smile made her seem more mature than himself.
Unlike her usual self, she mischievously shrugged her shoulders as she spoke.
“Then, I guess you can properly treat him as an adult from now on?”
“Ha.”
Eruhaben understood the meaning behind her words and subconsciously chuckled.
Rosalyn. Her words carried the meaning that the Dragon half-blood would survive.
“Yes.”
Eruhaben played along with his disciple's consoling.
“If we see him again, I will properly treat him like an adult. He’s right under me if you consider the amount of years he has lived.”
Step.
It was at that moment.
Step, step.
Eruhaben and Rosalyn looked toward the closed door.
The door to the basement…
They could hear someone walking up the stairs.
Creeeeeak.
The door opened.
“Choi Han!”
Rosalyn immediately called out to Choi Han and walked toward him.
“H, how-”
She stuttered but Choi Han answered without any hesitation.
"We saved him.”
Eruhaben, who had jumped up from his seat, almost crumbled back down.
Lord Sheritt, who had stopped because she could not get closer, covered her face with both hands and fell to the ground.
“However.”
They all stopped moving and looked at Choi Han after seeing he had more to say.
“I think you should take a look at his state.”
"What do you mean by that?”
Rosalyn looked at Choi Han in shock while Choi Han answered calmly.
“Take a look first and then we can think about it.”
He then asked Eruhaben to do something.
“Eruhaben-nim, could you please get rid of about half of this floor?”
* * *
Pssssssssss-
Half of the floor separating the basement from the ground turned into dust and disappeared.
It allowed Eruhaben to see what had happened to Neo's basement.
Aipotu was reality.
Then there was this weird world that seemed to be made of cotton candy.
He could clearly make it out.
The door located at the end of the stairs heading to the basement…
The weird world visible through the open door…
“…….”
Eruhaben was silent.
He could not say anything.
The Dragon half-blood.
He had sounded lighthearted when he told Rosalyn that he would treat that bastard as an adult, but…
He actually meant it.
He truly planned on treating that bastard as an ally, another adult he could learn from, but…
“…….”
Eruhaben looked at Cale.
Smile.
Cale smiled.
So Eruhaben looked away.
He looked down instead.
“Heh.”
Raon was smiling with a happy look on his face.
And his chubby cheeks kept-
“…An egg?”
Yes, he kept rubbing his cheeks on an egg while tightly hugging it.
He then heard Cale’s voice.
“Yes, Eruhaben-nim. An egg.”
“Really, an egg?”
“Yes, Eruhaben-nim. An egg.”
Eruhaben, then Rosalyn…
As the others from the Black Castle approached after them and got to see the weird virtual reality world for the first time…
Clack.
“Hehe. Hey Eden Miru, are you happy? I'm happy too!”
"An egg, nya! An egg, nya! Then does that mean the Dragon half-blood is now our youngest?”
“Hong. That’s not right.”
“But he’s an egg? It looks like he’s turned into a baby?”
“Mm.”
It was the moment they saw the Dragon half-blood, who had turned into an egg with beautiful patterns of three colors.
Raon raised the egg high into the air.
“The Dragon half-blood's name is now Eden Miru! It is a great and mighty name that means he can be anything!”
Clack.
“Hehe. Are you excited to hear your name?”
Raon snickered while tightly hugging the egg again and petting it.
Clack.
The egg twitched again.
Cale looked at this and commented.
“I think he’s embarrassed and wants to hide.”
Unfortunately, Raon did not hear him.
“Meeeeeow!”
“Meeow!”
On and Hong walked over to Raon and started petting the egg as well.
The egg was now stuck in the arms of the children averaging ten-years-old.
Clack.
Cale felt pity toward the Dragon half-blood for some reason but he ignored it.
“…….”
He then looked at the blankly standing Eruhaben and pointed at the Black Castle.
“I'll explain inside.”
* * *
“So basically, this game, this Virtual reality world is the only place the Dragon half-blood can exist. He cannot come over to this outside world?”
“Yes sir.”
“Mm. I guess we can be relieved for now that his soul has been maintained. But Cale. That game world-”
Cale explained to Eruhaben, Sheritt, and the others about ‘Raising my very own precious omnipotent god,’ which he had no time to explain to them before.
“No. More importantly-”
Eruhaben looked at Cale with a serious face.
“You said that you are the greatest of all evils in that game?”
“Mm.”
Cale flinched.
He never said that with his own mouth.
He heard On’s voice.
“Yes, Eruhaben-nim. He is the greatest of all evils.”
However, On and Choi Han were with him.
Hong and Raon remained in the game to be with the egg.
Of course, the game and reality…
The Heavenly Demon was standing guard at the door separating the two places.
‘How interesting. I will protect this place. There’s no need for me to hear what you have to say anyway, right?’
Cale felt a bit leery about the curiosity in the Heavenly Demon’s eyes but he ignored it.
The Heavenly Demon as well as the others from the Central Plains were helping take care of the aftermath with the Beast people and the Dark Elves. There was no need to show unnecessary suspicion toward people he was thankful toward.
Most important, there was another issue right now.
On and Choi Han…
The two seriously told only the truth.
“But he also has some angel blood mixed in him.”
Lock asked after hearing On's comment.
“A, angel?”
“They said he has some Demonic race mixed in too, nya.”
Choi Han continued from there.
“Currently, Cale-nim has taken over the Third Evil and the Seventh Evil of the Eight Evils. I believe it would be very helpful later when we fight against the enemies in New World.”
“Pfft.”
Eruhaben chuckled and looked at Cale.
“My goodness, you truly have a talent for elevating things.”
Cale felt wronged.
“I didn't do anything that led to these things, Eruhaben-nim.”
‘I really didn’t!
It just happened like this without me doing anything.’
Of course, he threatened the Heinous Dark Bear which eventually led to taking control of the Seventh Evil, but…
‘The rest all just sort of happened!’
“Pfft.”
Eruhaben laughed again.
He didn’t believe anything Cale was saying.
Cale felt wronged.
But Eruhaben didn’t care and started to speak.
His face instantly turned serious.
“Okay. We’ve at least confirmed the Dragon half-blood's condition. We can check Raon's growth later when he comes out of the game.”
Cale nodded his head seriously and listened carefully to the serious ancient Dragon.
“Then Cale. What happened to you?”
“Excuse me?”
Cale raised his head and noticed a lot of gazes on him.
The tired Mila was being supported by her son, Dodori, as she opened her mouth.
“Plate.”
A single word.
That word instantly made the mood sink.
Lord Sheritt, who seemed to be lost in a complicated thought, opened her mouth.
"Cale. Is your plate okay?”
Other than looking shabby, Cale looked healthier than everybody here right now.
“Young master-nim, your complexion looks wonderful.”
As the smiling Ron mentioned, Cale’s complexion truly looked the best it had these past few years.
However, what Mila said next filled the room with silence again.
“I can't feel your plate.”
Clack.
A lemon tea was placed in front of Cale.
“Young master-nim, please drink some warm tea as you speak.”
“Uhh, okay.”
Cale quickly picked up the teacup with lemon tea after seeing the viciously benign smile on Ron's face.
He looked at his concerned friends and started to speak before taking a sip.
He told the truth without holding back because he didn't want them to worry for no reason.
“I won’t need to worry about my plate from now on. There is no concern of it breaking and crumbling.”
His voice was quite firm.
Everybody looked at Cale.
His eyes were firm to show that he was speaking the truth and they were the eyes that they all trusted.
Their leader.
Cale continued.
“I no longer have a plate.”
‘Hmm?’
‘Huh?’
‘Ah?’
As his friends’ eyes became chaotic…
“Is it similar to Raon?”
Eruhaben and a few other calm people waited for Cale to explain.
Raon had no plate.
The mana of the world was his plate.
“Mm.”
However, Cale shook his head.
“My plate did not become as wide as a world.”
His broken plate.
His plate had been so broken that Mila could not connect it back together.
The aura of life then flowed through Cale’s body.
The aura of life from a large world had healed his body.
But…
“My plate had been broken too severely.”
It could not restore something that was broken.
The plate that it reached was broken far beyond anybody’s imagination.
“Like dust.”
‘Ah.’
Mila's face turned pale.
Eruhaben subconsciously clenched his fists.
Cale was alive in front of him.
‘Maybe-
He's fine right now, but he has no plate. No, it turned into dust, no-’
Yes. Because it broke, because it turned to dust…
There was no need to worry about it breaking in the future.
‘Then how is this bastard alive?
It'd be one thing if he was like Raon, but if not, how?’
His voice was shaking as he barely managed to open his mouth to ask.
“T, that, how-”
What do you mean?
He wanted to ask that, but…
“Then how are you alive?! You said your plate turned to dust!”
Rasheel jumped up from his seat and quickly asked with a teary look on his face.
Cale immediately answered.
“Yes, it did. So I ate it?”
Cale heard the voices of the glutton priestess and the crybaby.
– Buurp.
– Soooooob. Noonim is so scary.
He then looked at his quiet friends and continued.
“Mm, how do I explain this-”
‘Ah.’
“My heart and the glutton inside me consumed the dust that was once my plate. Of course, this process was easy thanks to the world’s aura of life.”
Eruhaben calmly asked.
“…Your heart consumed it?”
“Yes, Eruhaben-nim!”
Cale energetically answered.
“Basically, the plate turned into dust and is flowing inside my blood.”
In addition…
“Thanks to consuming the aura of life from this world with it, my veins, heart, and of course my body, is much stronger now.”
He purified the air once as the foundation of this world said and his body became much sturdier.
“Furthermore, I no longer need to worry about the limits of my plate as I fight. The dust particles of my plate have no choice but to follow my heart and my will. I no longer have to worry about the size of my plate as I get stronger.”
‘Look at all these benefits I got.’
“Anyway, I no longer need to worry about my plate breaking!”
That was right.
Why would he worry about something that was already turned to dust?
“I’ll be fine as long as I protect my heart and the blood in my body keeps moving!”
Then the blood and the dust that exists with it will be maintained.
“I guess you could say that my whole body has turned into my plate.”
How great was this?
Cale couldn’t help but laugh.
“Hahahaha!”
Cale laughed for a bit before he realized it.
“Hahaha…haha…ha…….”
He realized that he was the only one laughing.
For some reason, the others had vicious looks on their faces.
Cale carefully drank his lemon tea.
He then timidly mumbled.
“Umm, I got stronger.”
That was the truth.
Ding.
Cale received a message on the divine item at that moment.
< Alberu Crossman >
It was from the crown prince.
