Chapter 1134 — Book 2: Chapter 331: Me? (2)
13 min read ·
This was the first time Cale felt happy to receive a call from Alberu Crossman.
This unexplainably suffocating silence…
Cale did have some tact, so he avoided his friends’ gazes.
“Umm-”
Ding!
“I think I need to check this message from his highness. Haha-!”
Cale laughed.
However, nobody else laughed.
No, one person laughed.
‘Oh.’
Cale was happy and looked toward the individual who laughed, before becoming a bit anxious.
‘Hmm?’
The one who laughed was an unexpected individual.
It was the individual with his arms crossed and leaning against a pillar.
Rasheel.
Rasheel laughed once more in disbelief.
“Ha!”
He then stopped leaning on the pillar.
He then leaned on one leg.
“No, my goodness. Unbelievable. There's no need to worry about your plate anymore? Ha!”
He snorted extremely loudly.
“The heart is a spot that you will be in serious trouble if it gets hurt! Even Dragons die if our hearts explode! Why are you saying something so obvious like it’s something amazing?!”
“Hoo hoo.”
Cale also heard Ron’s benign laugh.
He subconsciously curled up.
Pat pat.
On patted Cale’s leg.
And then…
Shake shake.
She shook her head.
Cale felt wronged.
However, Rasheel’s voice slammed against his ears again.
“Ha! It’s not even funny!
Ha! Ha!”
Rasheel snorted multiple times as he said that.
Mila and Eruhaben, who would usually say something to Rasheel for speaking shamelessly like this, were quiet. Mila even nodded her head to show her agreement.
“That bastard has learned how not to be shameless.”
They even complimented him.
Cale was flabbergasted. He then looked at Rasheel, hoping Rasheel would be quiet.
“Wait-”
He tried to retort, but…
The shameless bastards tended to be the loud ones.
Rasheel's voice was loud.
“No!”
He spoke as if he was truly flabbergasted.
"Seriously, I thought they said your plate was one that would become a god! A plate that held nature within it! They said there was a world inside it! And what else? You went to yet another weird place, that New World or whatever and the Demonic race? An angel? Ha! I'm not even surprised anymore! And then what did you say? You ate the plate that could be a god, nature, or a world? It’s all in your heart now? Ha!”
‘So what?!’
Cale tried to say something because he felt wronged.
However, he heard a low voice once Rasheel stopped to catch his breath after saying all of that.
"That is what makes a legend.”
Cale got the chills.
Rasheel scowled.
The eyes of everybody else, who had been listening, started to shake.
In the corner of the room…
Clopeh Sekka had been calmly standing in a spot covered by shadows.
His white hair and green eyes were sparkling brightly within the shadows.
“Ah. That motherfucker was here too.”
Nobody heard Rasheel say that.
Cale wasn't even looking at Rasheel anymore.
Clopeh's hand…
He could only see the video recording device in his hand.
‘Since when has this bastard been holding that……?’
However, it would be a luxury to be able to have thoughts like this in front of Clopeh.
Smile.
Yes, Clopeh smiled brightly.
He looked truly happy, delighted and full of admiration.
Drip-
He was even crying.
A tear dripped down his face.
He was smiling while he was crying.
‘!’
Cale became anxious.
He got goosebumps all over.
– This crazy bastard!
The Super Rock could not hide his feeling of disgust.
– If Raon was here, he would say this guy has gone 721 degrees nuts.
As the glutton priestess has a rare moment of speaking seriously…
Shh.
Clopeh wiped away the single tear drop.
He then spoke with a gentle smile on his face.
“Gods, angels, the Demonic race, they are all useless. They are all useless when it comes to saving the world.”
He was looking only at Cale.
The images he saw and imprinted in his mind while traveling through worlds with Cale this time…
Gods, angels, the Demonic race, they didn’t need any of those.
“Only Cale-nim is a legend.”
Yes. He was the only legend.
The path he walks is his magical story.
“Ah.”
As he gasped in delight…
Ding!
Another message arrived from Alberu Crossman.
“C, Cale.”
It was rare to see Eruhaben stutter like this.
“Don’t you need to check your messages? Maybe something happened back in Roan?”
“Right, Eruhaben-nim?”
Cale quickly answered.
“We can slowly talk about the other things later. I'm sure you are tired as well and need some rest.”
The ancient Dragon truly had years of experience.
He quickly got up and ended this conversation.
The group quickly started to head out.
However, Clopeh continued to stand there. He was still looking at Cale with a face full of delight.
“…….”
Cale could not look at him.
He would even prefer to look at Ron over Clopeh.
Cale felt beads of sweat dripping down his back.
It was at that moment.
“Clopeh Sekka-nim.”
The voice was stiff and sounded mechanical.
However, there was still warmth within it.
It was Mary.
She spoke sternly to Clopeh.
“You must leave.”
‘Oh. As expected of Mary.
Mary is great and mighty for having strong mental fortitude.’
Cale wholeheartedly believed that.
“Yes, Miss Mary. I do need to leave.”
Clopeh followed Mary without causing any issues.
Cale was relieved after seeing this.
That was why he didn’t know.
“Mm.”
He didn't know that Choi Han was looking at the disappearing Clopeh and Mary's backs with an odd gaze.
Mary was the first person to tell Clopeh about Cale’s greatness.
Nobody knew about that fact.
“Choi Han and On, you guys stay here.”
He was planning on talking to Alberu about the virtual reality game this time.
‘I need to make contact with his highness.’
Alberu, who has already built some level of foundation in the game, would be of great assistance.
Cale took the divine item out and started to activate it as he opened his mouth.
“Sheritt-nim, are you not going to go take a look outside?”
Former Lord Sheritt.
She was still here.
Cale raised his head and made eye contact with her.
“I'm truly sorry, Sheritt-nim.”
He may not need to apologize to anybody else, but he had to apologize to her.
“It will be difficult to see Eden Miru for a while.”
Sheritt was bound to the Black Castle.
The Dragon half-blood, Eden Miru, was an egg and an NPC inside a game.
If they could not find a way to turn Eden Miru into a mid-level NPC or the God of Death figures something out…
The two of them would not be able to see each other for a while.
“Cale.”
Sheritt stood up.
She then bowed.
“Thank you. Thank you so much.”
Cale slightly frowned and turned his head.
“For what?”
“The children survived thanks to you.”
“Not at all, Sheritt-nim.”
Raon had pushed himself too hard and got a bloody nose.
A seven year old got a bloody nose from trying to control mana! Did that make any sense?
Cale started to get annoyed again.
Furthermore, the Dragon half-blood was not in a good situation either.
He was alive, but he was not fully free.
He was bound to the game.
Cale was about to get even more annoyed.
“Eden Miru.”
Sheritt spoke in a low voice at that moment.
“The name is very beautiful. I like it.”
“Huuuuu.”
Cale sighed and shrugged his shoulders.
"I'm pretty good at naming things, Sheritt-nim.”
“Hoo hoo. I see.”
Sheritt quietly chuckled before commenting again.
“If Neo can do it, I should be able to do it as well.”
“…Excuse me?”
Cale did not understand what she meant.
Sheritt headed out of the door as she casually answered Cale.
“Neo's lair was connected to the Virtual Reality world. All through a single door.”
“Ah.”
‘Maybe?’
“I want to create such a portal inside the Black Castle.”
Sheritt was smiling.
“Even if I can’t touch him, I do want to see the moment he is born from that egg.”
Egg.
The moment she saw the egg in Raon’s arm…
Sheritt thought about her other child, the red egg that she had lost in the past.
At the same time, the way the white gold light Dragon had looked at her in the past…
All sorts of thoughts and emotions swept through her mind.
She still had to take another step forward.
When the children were pushing forward, as an adult-
‘No.
How can I, as a mom, be left behind?’
She at least wanted to personally see the birth of Eden Miru.
Virtual Reality. Even if she couldn't put a hand inside that world, the moment Eden Miru came back into the world…
She wanted to show him the joy in the eyes of the people looking at him.
“I'm sure you will be able to do it, Sheritt-nim.”
Sheritt responded to Cale talking behind her with a smile before heading out of the room and closing the door.
She knew Cale would need a private place to chat with Alberu.
Click.
Sheritt walked out of the room to see Eruhaben and Mila waiting for her.
Mila opened her mouth.
“The Dragon half-blood, no, Eden Miru is now an existence with three colors. He will be an amazing existence.”
He was half human, half Dragon.
However, he had Dragon blood with two attributes.
Eden Miru.
What kind of existence would he be once he hatched?
“He is going to be a unique existence.”
A new existence that cannot be compared to anybody else.
Mila's face stiffened despite saying such positive words.
“And Raon-”
Mila stopped for a moment before continuing on.
“Raon will become the Dragon Lord. No, he is already a Dragon Lord.”
Mila calmly explained everything she had seen.
“An existence that handles, no, that dominates over mana like that- even the gods cannot do that.”
An existence that cannot be seen even among the gods.
Maybe the highest level that could be reached because he was a Dragon.
That might be Raon's path.
“Huuuuuu.”
Sheritt sighed.
Mila knew the weight behind that sigh.
She was a mother as well.
Sheritt was silent for a bit before opening her mouth.
“Don’t put such a heavy burden on him. I want him to grow up like a child.”
It was not something she could really say as she was bound to the Black Castle, but it was something that had to be said for Raon's benefit.
She heard a voice answer without any hesitation.
“Of course.”
It was Eruhaben.
He chuckled and continued to speak.
“Plus, do you really think that punk Cale would allow Raon to carry such a burden? He hasn't let it show, but I can tell he is very angry at the fact that Raon got a bloody nose. It is as if he can’t see his own blood.
Tsk.” Eruhaben clicked his tongue before adding on.
“Please don’t worry, Sheritt-nim.”
Sheritt finally smiled in relief.
The three Dragons continued to walk for a bit before only Eruhaben remained behind.
Eruhaben turned around and looked into an open door as he addressed someone.
He could not see anybody through the open door.
“Rosalyn.”
However, he continued to speak.
“You are also a child who learns very well.”
Creeeeeak.
The door opened all the way and Rosalyn revealed herself.
“You are right, Eruhaben-nim.”
She had been waiting for Eruhaben.
“No, master.”
Rosalyn’s sun-like eyes were burning like flames in the middle of the night.
“I would like to learn some more.”
Eruhaben saw her gaze and nodded his head.
“I guess… You are someone who can handle the weight.”
Choi Han, the Heavenly Demon…
After seeing the two of them and learning about the Virtual Reality world…
“There is no youngster who is as clear about their path as you are, so I'm sure your path will appear in front of you very soon.”
Aura.
Rosalyn was seeking Eruhaben's help and instruction for it.
She had never felt so helpless before.
‘No matter what-’
Rosalyn firmed her resolve to get past this wall and get stronger.
She was someone who always achieved the things she set her mind on.
Eruhaben started to walk with her knowing she was such a person.
Oooooo-
Back in the other room, Cale looked into the mirror with On and Choi Han by his side.
A screen appeared on top of the mirror.
They were being connected to the crown prince.
Paaaat-
A person’s figure slowly started to appear on the large screen as Cale thought about the messages Alberu had sent him.
The last conversation they had via messaging…
< The game gave me a new quest. I think I need to discuss it with you. I also think I got some information on the birth of the omnipotent god. Call me when you have time. >
That was what Alberu had said.
< Your highness. I have an account now too. I should be able to login after the major update. >
This had been Cale’s response.
As for the message he got today…
< What? An account? How? When? >
< What the hell are you going around doing? But anyway, you are saying you can log in to the game now, right? >
< I don’t know when you will check your messages, so let me tell you about my quest. I received a quest related to a hero. That quest seems to be related to resisting the omnipotent god. Check the message and let me know. >
Alberu's face appeared on the screen.
– Cale, what the hell-
“One second please.”
Cale stopped Alberu, who had immediately started to talk.
“Please let me speak first, your highness.”
– …Okay.
Alberu let out a break and calmed himself.
– Go ahead.
He then added on.
– Also explain how you ended up looking like the lord of all beggars as well.
Cale looked stupefied.
As Alberu was about to scowl after seeing this disrespectful look on Cale’s face for the first time in a long while…
“Ah. I do have one question first, your highness.”
Cale immediately asked his question.
“Are the contents of your hero-related quest about finding the hero?”
– Mm.
Alberu hesitated for a moment before speaking.
– Mm, that, it isn't about finding the hero- mm.
The frustrated Cale answered with an unsettled look on his face.
“Are you the hero?”
– …Huh?
Cale saw Alberu react slowly as he continued to speak.
“I must be right. I should have realized it the moment the Sun Sword came out.”
Cale shook his head and Alberu subconsciously flinched.
Cale didn’t care and thought to himself.
‘The tarnished former hero Gisk.’
The Sun Sword, the sword Gisk had received for being chosen by the sun…
Choi Han had to hand that sword to the hero.
‘And-’
Cale turned toward Alberu.
Alberu, despite being a quarter Dark Elf, was using a weapon given by the Sun God.
He was someone whom the Sun God had chosen despite his Dark Elf blood.
The sun.
Was there anybody else who suited the sun as much as Alberu Crossman?
“Haaaaa.”
Cale let out a sigh.
– What is it? Why are you sighing like that?
As Alberu’s eyebrows were about to furrow…
Cale commented with the same disrespectful look on his face.
“Both Choi Han and I need to find the hero.”
– Huh?
“Oh, to explain in detail, Choi Han received the Sun Sword from the former hero and needs to hand that over to the hero.”
– Huh? T, that quest is Choi Han’s?
As Alberu looked at Choi Han with shock…
Cale calmly continued to speak.
"As for me, I am the hidden boss of the Third Evil.”
– Huh?
“The Third Evil, your highness. You know where that is, right?”
– That place, of the Eight Hells-
“Yes, Yes, your highness. That place. Oh, while I am the hidden boss of the Third Evil…”
– …….
“I think I'm going to be lording over the Seventh Evil as well.
Ah.”
Cale then added on.
“You should also know that the A.I. Within the system is helping me as well. Basically, the system is on my side as well.”
– …….
“Ah.”
He added on again.
“My attributes were weirdly set so I am apparently a character with the blood of both the Divine race and the Demonic race.”
– …….
Alberu was silent.
The extended silence removed the disrespectful look from Cale’s face and he looked at Alberu with confusion.
“…Your highness……?”
Alberu then answered.
– This is driving me nuts.
‘What the?
It's the same as usual.’
Cale immediately smiled disrespectfully after hearing the same answer Alberu usually gave.
Alberu clenched his eyes shut.
What he could see was only darkness.
