Chapter 1151 — Book 2: Chapter 348: Who the hell are these humans? (5)

Was Cale Henituse really talking to the God of Death through this divine item?

The ten Beast people who made up the planning committee… They were gathered from all over.

Some of them, including Wiesha, had been with Cale, but there were others who had lived in hiding while protecting the Beast people as well as some who ran around fighting against the Inquisitors.

‘Unbelievable……!’

One of the Beast people subconsciously started to mumble.

“…Lie-”

However, he could not finish his sentence.

Tap.

“……!”

He saw someone motioning for him to be quiet and realized that he had said that out loud.

Furthermore, he got chills down his spine.

The one who tapped his arm was the old man who had jumped up a bit earlier saying that Cale Henituse was being disrespectful.

Gulp.

This old man was the first to suggest that they give the position of Pope to Lock, the one who was working with him to confront Wiesha’s side.

He lowered his gaze.

The old man who had tapped his arm… His hand was slightly shaking.

This old man was currently scared.

‘…Why?’

The old man was clearly feeling fear toward Cale Henituse.

He wasn’t the only one.

He realized that a couple of the people who shared his point of view had their mouths shut and were sweating.

‘Ah!’

Now that he thought about it, they were all part of the group who had fought the ‘Five Colors Battle’ with Cale Henituse.

The Five Colors Battle.

This was the name they gave the battle against Dragon Lord Neo and his group.

The name came from the Five Colored Lights that surrounded the entirety of Aipotu.

‘……!’

The man looked around and realized something else.

Wiesha’s side… The ones on Wiesha’s side who had participated in the Five Colors Battle all had their mouths shut and even their gazes only moved with purpose.

‘It’s true-’

They truly were all scared.

Did that make any sense?

The ten members of the planning committee…

These Beast people did not truly fear Dragon Lord Neo. Even if they had gone into hiding or ran away to save their own lives, their tribe's lives, or even if it was to continue their race’s lineage… They had not been truly scared.

‘However-’

Why were they all scared right now?

He subconsciously looked toward Cale Henituse again.

‘This human-

Who the hell is this human that his appearance alone is scaring them so much?

Is he really able to casually chat with a god?

The Blue Wolf. These individuals, the same ones who had firmly shared their will to Lock, the one who had borrowed the power of their great god, why were they scared of this human named Cale Henituse?’

He could not understand it.

However, all those who saw Cale Henituse fought did not think that Cale was lying about anything he did.

Chatting with the God of Death?

‘It makes sense.

No.’

Wiesha fixed her train of thought.

‘For Commander Cale-nim, it is actually to be expected.’

He was someone who could communicate with the world.

Dragon Lord Neo. When Cale was fighting against him…

That radiant Five Colored Lights that saved the entirety of Aipotu… Cale Henituse had controlled those Five Colored Lights.

After seeing him do that, Wiesha had no choice but to believe anything Cale did.

“Ha, haha-”

Just look.

Look at how Cale was laughing while looking at that magical mirror.

He looked so relaxed.

“Maybe I should just break it.”

……!

Wiesha’s pupils started shaking.

Cale didn’t care and said it once again.

“Wouldn’t this mirror break if I chuck it?”

“!”

“……!”

Anybody would be able to tell that this divine item looked mysterious.

Cale picked it up and tapped on the table with it.

Tap. Tap.

Ooooooooong-

Ooooooooong!

Ooong, ooongooong, ooooong!

The mirror started to vibrate intensely.

It seemed to be begging him not to break it.

The ten Beast people did not know exactly what was happening, but for some odd reason, they could feel the emotion coming out of that divine item.

The divine item seemed to be desperately begging for Cale not to break it.

Tap. Tap.

Cale leisurely tapped the mirror a few more times before nonchalantly placing the mirror back on the table.

Ooooooooong-

< You crazy......! >

Cale read the message and calmly responded.

“So stop grumbling.”

< Motherfucking bastard. >

The God of Death said that before sending a bunch of messages.

< Do you think that I am doing nothing? >

< Do you think that you are the only one I am watching over? >

< Do you know how difficult things are for me right now? Huh? From the God of Chaos to the God of Balance, I’m going bat shit crazy! Even workplace cooperation is not going well because the World of the Gods is split into two right now! I'm seriously struggling here, you punk! >

< Rather than thinking about helping me in such a situation you only think about how to use me? >

Cale quietly read it all before picking the mirror up to tap the table again.

“Break it?”

< ……. >

The God of Death stopped grumbling.

The issues in the World of the Gods that the God of Death was talking about was none of Cale's business.

In fact, he was suffering like this because of the aftershock of the shit those bastards in the World of the Gods have caused.

“Ah, thinking about it is making me more angry.”

The mirror shook at Cale's comment.

It was definitely not just vibrating for a message.

Everybody in the room observed Cale and the mirror.

‘It's scared!’

That mirror is definitely scared.

While everybody was thinking that, Cale was really starting to get angry.

‘Hold on-’

Think about it.

‘The worlds at least apologize and reward me once I take care of things one by one!

Look at Aipotu’s foundation and the World Tree!

Huh?

Those good kids cried saying they don’t have much to reward me with and gave me basically everything they had.

The way they felt apologetic for not being able to reward him with something deserving for saving the world…that was outstanding.

Even Central Plains had done everything he could do.

But this bastard, the God of Death?

Oolong, oolong-

< Cale, Cale- >

Ooooooooong-

< Let's calm down. Let’s talk it out. Please? >

“Huuuuu.”

Cale let out a deep breath.

“There’s a limit to my patience.”

Ooooooooong.

< Yes, yes. I know you are working hard. I must have lost my mind for a moment. I'm currently going on 73 hours straight of work. >

‘Hmm?

73 hours?

Three days straight of work?’

“73 hours without any sleep?”

< Yeah. Haha! >

‘…It makes sense that he’s going crazy.’

Cale recalled working overtime during his time as Kim Rok Soo and suddenly felt like going easy on the God of Death.

“Yeah. I'm sure you are working hard too.”

< Right? >

“Yeah.”

Cale pulled out a handkerchief and wiped the mirror. It was a white handkerchief that Beacrox had given him.

Wipe wipe.

Cale wiped the screen and then nonchalantly commented.

“Keep it up.”

It was crude but he meant it.

Ooooooong……!

< ……! >

The God of Death was truly touched.

The mirror gently shook before words slowly appeared.

<...S, sob. >

Cale pretended not to see it.

‘Now that I think about it, this guy used to have his own sense of dignity and such.’

He recalled the first time he met the God of Death.

The guy he met in the place that resembled an office had looked so cool, fitting his title as a god.

‘…But if he’s been working 73 hours straight-

Even a god probably looks like a mess after that.’

“Tsk.”

‘The unluckiest bastard of the gods.’

Cale waited until the mirror stopped vibrating.

The mirror soon stopped and started sending messages again.

< The Blue Wolf's divine item is the issue, right? >

‘As I expected.’

The God of Death was always keeping an eye on Cale's side.

“You know everything we are doing, right?”

Cale asked.

< I want to, but I don’t know everything. >

The God of Death gave an unexpected answer.

< The regular worlds are able to locate the divine items, but... Anything other than that is impossible. >

The meaning behind those words were simple.

‘The Demon World.’

It meant that he didn’t know what could happen in that place.

‘… Virtual Reality.’

It was also unknown what could happen there either.

One corner of Cale’s lips subconsciously rose up.

The asymmetry of information.

This was quite a good situation for Cale.

"Why is the Blue Wolf rejecting the divine item?”

He got right to the point.

Gulp.

He heard someone gulp but he ignored it.

< I told you before that the Blue Wolf's divinity has become faint, right? >

He did hear that before.

It was probably the result of a forgotten god fighting against the God of Chaos.

< As to the severity of how faint it has gotten, to be honest with you, I can’t even find him in the World of the Gods right now. That is how faint it is. >

< He’s probably in deep slumber right now. >

< He should be in his secret hiding spot that even the other gods cannot find. A god whose divinity is faint is not really alive even if they are physically alive. >

The God of Death stopped for a moment before adding on.

< He fought against the God of Chaos, who is considered one of the strongest of the forgotten gods. He should have lost a significant amount of his power. The Blue Wolf was already a god who was barely hanging on to start with. >

“Mm.”

Cale realized that the Blue Wolf's condition was more serious than he imagined.

‘I feel a bit apologetic.

Didn't he end up like that to save us?’

Unlike the other gods he had seen until now, the Blue Wolf truly had given his everything to fight.

‘Mmm.’

Cale held back a groan.

– It’s hitting at my conscience……!

The cheapskate let out a rare groan.

– He’s a decent god.

Even the Sky Eating Water, the girl who wants to fuck up any god, was saying something amicable.

Ooooooooong-

The God of Death sent another message at that moment.

< I don’t think it is the Blue Wolf rejecting the divine item. >

“He’s not rejecting the divine time?”

‘Does that mean there is nothing wrong with the divine item?’

Cale’s eyes clouded over and the Beast people focused again.

< Yeah. It is highly likely that he can't even maintain enough divinity to put into the divine item. >

< Think about it. >

< My body is currently in a comatose state. If I can barely hold onto my life, would I have enough power to separate to put into a divine item? >

Of course not.

< Furthermore, when he is in a deep slumber as he is now and his instinct is telling him to maintain his divinity and expand it, he is likely to avoid divine items even more. >

The God of Death hesitated before writing more.

<...But I didn't know his divinity would have crumbled to that degree. >

The God of Death had been the one to create temples and a divine item to advent the Blue Wolf back to Aipotu.

Even he did not seem to know the details of the Blue Wolf's condition.

‘I guess it can’t be helped.’

He was running around crazily because of the God of Chaos.

< Even if the Blue Wolf is a forgotten god... I guess the God of Chaos is stronger than I thought. >

The God of Chaos.

Cale thought about the grey water that the God of Chaos created.

“…He is strong.”

Yes. He was strong.

He was very strong.

“So what can we do?”

He understood the situation now.

In that case, what was the answer?

< There are two. >

First.

< Waiting. >

"Wait until the Blue Wolf’s divinity fills up?”

< Yes. Since temples and beyond that, even a Holy Land has been created... The worship toward the Blue Wolf will only get bigger from here on. The Blue Wolf’s divinity will heal. >

“But that will take a long time.”

< That’s right. At minimum a few decades, at maximum a couple centuries. >

The first option was to wait.

This would take a long time.

< But this method is safe. Nobody will get hurt and they just need to pray to spread his name. >

Cale shook his head.

“And the other one?”

The Beast people did not need the Blue Wolf’s divine item just to show that their power has been restored and to worship the Blue Wolf.

‘Berserk transformation.’

Unlike Cale’s world, Nameless 1, berserk transformations in Aipotu could only be done properly through the Blue Wolf’s divine item.

‘And what the Beast people here need the most is their berserk transformation.’

Why did they think highly of Lock?

It was not just because he advented the Blue Wolf.

Just like the Tiger tribe that came with Cale, Lock had learned how to go berserk on his own.

This looked amazing to the Beast people.

‘I'm sure the Beast people here will need to look into ways to go berserk on their own, but they can’t seem to grasp it.’

That was what Eruhaben had told him.

‘Nobody here has done a full and proper first berserk transformation on their own.’

But it was not something Lock or Gashan could teach them.

‘It just-’

‘It was automatic.’

The Beast people of Nameless 1 knew the process of the first berserk transformation, but the ‘fully’ and ‘completely’ do the first berserk transformation was something ‘that became obvious as you tried it.’ It was not something they could pass on.

‘Gashan said he would research it.’

Gashan and Witira were both working hard about this issue. But it was not an answer that would come quickly.

‘In the end, what we need is a different way.’

It was hard to wait.

Lock might really end up being tied down in Aipotu if that happened.

< The second- >

The God of Death hesitated before explaining.

< Is stealing divinity. >

“Steal divinity?”

The others who were quietly watching Cale flinched.

Cale didn’t know or care as his gaze was glued to the mirror.

< Yes. Each god has their unique traits, so stealing divinity is almost impossible. >

< But if it is not divinity from a god but the divinity in divine items that was placed by a god a long time ago, the unique nature of it may have become diluted to a degree. >

< This would be especially true for memorial divine items that are not frequently used by the church. >

Old divine items.

< If you steal the divinity in those items and hand it to the Blue Wolf... That guy’s ability should allow him to digest that divinity as his own. >

< However, the unique nature of the divinity needs to have diluted almost to ‘nothing’ for the Blue Wolf to be able to dye it as his own. >

Ooooooooong-

< But not only is it difficult to find a divine item that old, even if you managed to find one, you would need to steal it to pull out the divinity. You would need to fight with the entire church. It would not be easy. >

Ooooooooong-

The God of Death lamented.

< It might end up taking even longer than waiting and may be at the cost of blood. Furthermore, you would buy the hatred of that god and may end up in a war. >

Ooooooooong-

< I do not recommend this method. >

The God of Death said this because he knew Cale's personality.

< I recommend waiting. >

< Your little bro, Lock? If you are worried about him, I can create a portal here so that Lock can freely go between the Roan Kingdom and this Holy Land. >

< Then it would lessen the burden on Lock and the Beast people would be able to wait a bit easier. >

The God of Death could feel something was off as he continued to send messages.

< …Hey. >

Cale had a subtle smile on his face.

<...What are you thinking right now? >

Tap. Tap.

Cale tapped the table with his index finger before speaking.

“We either wait for the Blue Wolf’s divinity to recover, which can take a minimum of a few decades to a few centuries.”

The committee members’ eyes opened wide. Their pupils were shaking.

Tap. Tap.

Cale continued to speak.

“Or we steal another god’s old divine item-”

Flinch.

Everybody looked at Cale in shock.

“We take the diluted divinity, the divinity that is close to ‘nothing,’ and offer it to the Blue Wolf. Those are the only two options we have.”

Smile.

The corners of Cale’s lips continued to curl up.

“Hey.”

<...What?...You're making me very anxious...... >

The God of Death’s message was shaking a bit.

Cale didn’t care as he continued to speak.

“I'll tell you two methods.”

<...I’m not curious at all...... >

“First.”

Everybody focused on Cale’s lips.

“Didn’t you say that the God of Chaos is an ancient god? Then shouldn’t he have a lot of old divine items?”

< ……! >

Ten thousand years.

Since he was a god who existed during ancient times, a divine item from that time should have its divinity diluted significantly and close to nothing.

“Stealing that guy’s divine items.”

That would allow the Blue Wolf’s divinity to recover.

They would also harm the God of Chaos in the process.

“And the second.”

< T, there’s more? >

< I, I'm scared? >

Cale ignored the God of Death.

"What if we create a divine item with an attribute of ‘nothing’?”

< … Huh? I, is something like that possible......? >

This could just be Cale’s hypothesis or imagination, but…

He felt like it was possible.

“I'm not certain. I don’t know if it is possible. But I plan on asking if it is possible.”

< …How-? >

Divine items contained a god’s unique attribute.

How would you turn that into nothing?

There were no gods with the attribute of nothing.

Cale recalled his experiences as Kim Rok Soo.

That place.

Yes, that place could create anything.

A word that clearly indicated the second method came out of Cale’s mouth.

“Item.”

To be more accurate…

"Game item.”

Game item.

There were many game items similar to divine items.

Cale thought about the A.I. Inside the Raising my very own precious omnipotent god game.

“I think it could be made if we negotiated it well-”

An item only containing divinity without any attribute.

He felt like it was possible.

“Heh.”

Cale laughed.

Ooooooooong-

The mirror, the God of Death, was shaking.

The rest of the meeting room was silent.

No.

“Human, why are you laughing like that again? Who are you scamming now?”

Only Raon brightly asked with an excited look on his face.

“Heh.”

But Cale just laughed.

‘The God of Chaos-’

That bastard’s Saint was also in the game.

That meant that the bastard’s temples or divine items could be in the game as well.

“How entertaining.”

Cale looked quite amused as he said that with a gentle smile on his face.

However, an unexplainable chill made the Beast people look away.

<...This... Will it be okay......? >

The God of Death’s mirror continued to shiver.
