Chapter 1152 — Book 2: Chapter 349: Who the hell are these humans? (6)
13 min read ·
Cale informed the Beast people about the current situation.
The Beast people should not have been able to hear everything properly because he was communicating with the God of Death.
“Do you understand?”
Cale gently asked.
‘No matter what, we are in a situation where we have to work with them for a while. There's no need for me to add tension.’
The Blue Wolf.
Cale and Lock would need to communicate with the Beast people of Aipotu quite frequently until the Blue Wolf recovered his divinity.
“…….”
The Beast people were listening to Cale with blank looks on their faces.
‘They should have understood what I said, right?’
Cale looked at Wiesha after being worried about their blank stares.
“!”
Wiesha flinched once they made eye contact and Cale gently asked.
He gave a warning earlier, so it was now time for the carrot.
“Wiesha-nim. Did you understand what I just said?”
“Ah yes, yes sir!”
Wiesha quickly answered the smiling Cale’s question.
Cale looked at the other members of the planning committee as well.
They urgently nodded their heads as well.
Cale smiled with satisfaction.
“I'm glad that our communication is so easy.”
He shared his honest sentiments and then asked.
“I still need to chat a bit more with the God of Death. Could you please give us some privacy?”
“Y, yes sir!”
Wiesha got up and the other members quickly got up after her.
They left the room extremely efficiently.
Screeech, boom.
The meeting room door closed and the Beast people now outside the door did not dare to open their mouths.
They stood outside the door and just stared at each other for a bit.
Gulp.
Some gulped while others felt like their mouths were dry.
They all stared at the closed door for a moment before urgently turning their heads.
Addressing the God of Death with a ‘hey’ Or a ‘hey you.’ Being extremely casual with him like that…
Talking about stealing divine items from the God of Chaos…
Making a deal to get a divine item with no attribute?
They should be wary of someone with physical strength, but…
Forget being wary, someone with power, authority, connections, and abilities was completely fearsome.
Wiesha opened her mouth.
“…If you want to keep breathing-”
She recalled what Cale had told her.
The man had said Lock was a member of his family.
‘I'm glad that our communication is so easy.’
The man, who was happy that it was easy to talk to her because she had been quietly breathing and immediately responding to him…
Wiesha warned the other faction who always confronted her.
If you want to keep breathing
“You will need to listen well.”
Listen well to what Cale says.
She was not saying this just because of fear.
“Are you willing to receive the hate of a god because of people who are not related to you at all? You may end up fighting against a god. Are you willing to do that?”
Nobody answered.
“Let’s at least be tactful.”
Wiesha then started to walk.
Cale said that he would give a few orders soon so she had to prepare for that.
“…….”
“…….”
The others slowly started to walk as well.
Their steps looked heavy yet light.
It looked quite odd.
* * *
The ones left in the room were Eruhaben, Lock, and Raon. Only they were now with Cale.
The chair in the large meeting room once used by Ryan was soft.
Screeeech.
Cale leaned back until the chair tilted before looking down at the mirror and asking.
“You know I went to the Demon World, right?”
< Yeah. I know. Did something happen? >
“I guess Choi Jung Soo didn't contact you?”
< Yeah. Not yet. >
Cale nodded his head before nonchalantly commenting.
“I made a Church of the God of Chaos in the Demon World.”
< ……. >
The mirror was silent for a moment.
But the mirror soon started to vibrate intensely.
< What the hell?>
< What kind of nonsense are you spewing? >
< What bullshit did you do over there? >
Cale quietly read the messages that made it clear the God of Death was shocked before saying something else.
“For your reference, the name of that group is Arm.”
< ……. >
The silent mirror started to vibrate again.
< You use that name so effectively. >
“Pfft.”
Cale chuckled before speaking again.
“The God of Chaos' group, the Hunters, and the current Demon King. I plan on messing with their relationship.”
< Mm. >
The God of Death immediately understood.
< Hey. It’s just... >
The God of Death's reaction was a bit odd.
“What is it?”
< I'm asking this because I'm worried about you. >
“Okay.”
Ooooooooong.
The mirror started to vibrate cautiously.
<...You don’t plan on fighting the Demon King, right? >
Cale immediately scowled.
“What nonsense.”
‘Why would I fight the Demon King?
I would have to be crazy to fight him.
The ones to fight will be the Demon King and the Arbitrators!
Why would I get involved in the Demon World’s business?!’
As Cale's face slowly turned vicious…
Oooooong– oooooong! Ooooooooong!
The urgent vibrations continued.
< No, hey, hey! Don’t get angry! Just hear me out first! >
< If you don’t plan on fighting the Demon King, I was going to give you some advice. >
Cale relaxed his face a bit and asked in a disgruntled voice.
“What is the advice?”
‘You better hope it’s not useless.’
Cale’s gaze was still vicious.
< There aren't many churches in the Demon World. >
“I know.”
Other than a few gods including the God of War, he heard that not many believed in gods.
< That is because they are all waiting for the Demon God. >
Demon God.
When Cale had gone to fight the White Star in Endable…
He had seen the sculpture that depicted that bastard as the Demon God.
“…Is there no Demon God?”
< Yeah. There isn't. They are just waiting for the Demon God who will one day appear. >
“So?”
< The Demonic race believe that the most likely candidate to become the Demon God is the Demon King. >
“Ah.”
Cale let out a groan-like gasp.
< I guess you can call it a society where church and state govern as one? >
< That is why they treat the Demon King like the future Demon God. The Demon King is always the strongest individual. That is why ‘who’ the Demon King is not important. They just treat the person who is in the Demon King position as the future Demon God. >
The Demon World.
Cale thought that this world and the Demon Cult had a lot of similarities.
< Anyway, to create a Church of the God of Chaos there. That may be seen as going against the Demon King's authority. >
< That is the reason the God of War and the other churches all do their things quietly instead of expanding their reaches throughout the Demon World. >
‘Mm.’
Cale started to think.
< You understand what I am worried about, right? >
< Messing around is great, but you may end up in an extremely complicated situation if it is revealed that you are the one behind the curtains. >
< As for that Demon King bastard, he's quite smart. The former Demon King was someone who focused only on physical strength, but the current Demon King is both strong and shrewd. >
Cale nodded his head as if he finished thinking and answered.
“It's fine if I don't get caught. And if I do, well, I just don’t have to go to the Demon World, no?”
< Huh? >
“Isn’t it difficult to advent the Demon King? Even gods can’t easily advent.”
< R, right? >
“Yeah. Then it’s fine.”
Cale spoke with certainty.
“Once I'm finished dealing with the Hunters, I'm going to go back to my territory and live quietly. I'm going to rest. No matter what.”
< ……. >
“So there are no issues of me getting involved with the Demon World.”
<...Uh... Okay...... >
Cale calmly changed topics once it looked like the God of Death accepted his explanation.
“You know Dragon Lord Neo's lair, right? There’s a portal there to the Virtual Reality world.”
Cale’s side was currently researching how to install similar portals in the Black Castle or other places.
“Help us with this.”
The God of Death could create portals connecting dimensions, so Lord Sheritt should be able to progress much faster if he helped.
< It’ll be difficult because Virtual Reality is somewhere I can’t see, but... I'll look for a way. >
<...But I'm a bit busy... I really am...... >
The God of Death was currently working 73 hours straight.
“Ah.”
Cale felt some pity.
“Keep it up.”
He then added on.
“Help us when you have some time.
But you still need to pay attention to our needs.”
Cale felt pity for the God of Death but still said all he needed to say.
<...Yeah……. >
The God of Death answered weakly before disappearing.
“Mm.”
Cale started to think.
Eruhaben walked over to say something.
“With things like the issue with the Blue Wolf, it looks like it will be difficult to return to Roan right away.”
It was as he said.
The Purple Bloods.
Cale got rid of the biggest problem in Aipotu, however, it looked like he would need to stay here longer.
The biggest reason was-
“There’s nothing like Neo's lair right now.“
“Yes, Eruhaben-nim.”
As Eruhaben mentioned, Neo’s lair… That was the biggest reason to stay in Aipotu.
Sheritt, Rosalyn, and the others talked about creating a portal in the Black Castle as well, but…
‘This isn’t easy.’
It would still take some time.
Of course, he didn’t think it would be impossible.
There was no reason that Sheritt wouldn't be able to do what Neo did.
They just needed to do some research on connecting Virtual Reality with reality.
“Of course, the Transparent Bloods. We could go to Earth 3 where they are to enter the Virtual Reality.”
Eruhaben shook his head.
“Neo's lair offers more benefits.”
“That’s true, Eruhaben-nim.”
Cale then added on.
“Plus, his highness told me something, Eruhaben-nim. Ahn Roh Man. He said that guy seems to be scheming something.”
“Ah. You said he was our helper, right?”
Ahn Roh Man.
President of Earth 3's Roan.
Also the child of the couple who created the game that ended up as the foundation for Raising my very own precious omnipotent god and the top ranker in the game.
He would definitely be a lot of help when fighting against the Transparent Bloods, however…
‘His highness said he can’t trust that guy.’
Cale’s group needed a different way to approach the Transparent Bloods without going through him.
‘We also kept things as secrets from him.’
Cale and Alberu had not told him about how Cale had taken over the Third Hell and the Seventh Hell as well as about Alberu’s hero quest.
“Mm.”
Cale pulled the mirror out again and started to write a message.
* * *
Paaaat-
Alberu Crossman opened his eyes in the bright light and looked around.
Ahn Roh Man. Alberu, who had logged in while avoiding Ahn Roh Man, checked that he was alone before starting to walk.
“This is driving me nuts.”
His quiet voice sounded annoyed.
His face looked like he had a headache.
However, an odd smile was on his face.
The current time was late at night for Earth 3's Roan.
Alberu had logged in while Ahn Roh Man should be sleeping.
He recalled the message he received early this morning.
< It doesn't look like I can return to Roan right away, your highness. >
< Let's meet in the game. >
“He dares to tell the crown prince to come or go?”
The twisted smile on Alberu’s face kept twitching.
It could not be helped.
< I’ll be waiting for you, your highness. - Cale Henituse >
His surroundings were different from anything he had faced in the game until now.
A door with an unrealistic and fluffy signboard could be seen.
< The Joyful and Magical Fairytale Land >
There were cotton candy-like trees and candy flowers.
But for some odd reason, it gave off a cold aura.
This weird fairytale-like environment would welcome Alberu once he goes through the gate.
‘Mm.’
There was a crack on the sign and some letters were erased.
There was a crack over the word ‘magical’-
It looked more like-
< The Joyful and Maniacal Fairytale Land > (TL: Works in Korean, not as well in English)
That’s how it read instead.
“…Ha.”
Alberu sighed before starting to walk.
The hero entered into the Seventh Hell.
As a game user, Alberu could see the community discussion boards.
< Places you should absolutely not go to yet! >
< Those are the Eight evils. If you enter even one of the Eight Evils, you will definitely leave after death. You would die before even reaching the mid-level boss. Maybe rankers might be able to take down one of the mid-level bosses. We are unable to go to the Eight Hells yet. >
There had been an explanation of every field under it.
< The Seventh Evil, The Time Hell. That is a fairytale land gone crazy. Everything is crazy. >
< Seriously, all of the monsters have gone crazy. >
< Even the NPCs seem a bit crazed. >
< I left right away because I felt like I would go crazy too. >
Alberu headed toward this crazy fairytale land that the users have decided was somewhere they couldn't approach yet.
“!”
He then flinched.
Under the sign-
‘A bear?’
A teddy bear was waiting for him.
“……!”
A description appeared on top of the teddy bear.
[Final boss. Heinous Dark Bear]
‘Final boss?’
Alberu stopped walking.
The bear looked at him.
It started to speak.
“Mm. The appearance seems to match.”
It then cautiously asked.
"Are you Alberu Crossman-nim?”
Alberu nodded his head.
The bear smiled brightly.
Swish!
He then bowed ninety degrees.
“Nice to meet you, sir! I believe this is our first time meeting each other! I am the final boss, the Heinous Dark Bear, someone who is currently serving the greatest of all evils! It is an honor to meet you like this, sir! I will do my best to attend to you, sir!”
An extremely loud shout echoed out from the entrance of the fairytale land.
Alberu Crossman blankly stared at the bear before raising his head.
The sky was still bright.
“…This is driving me nuts.”
The bear raised his head and cautiously asked as if he did not catch what Alberu had said.
“Excuse me?”
Alberu then looked at the bear.
The bear could see a refreshingly handsome man who smiled brightly like a prince in a fairytale.
“It's nothing.”
He spoke like a prince as well.
“You must have come at Cale Henituse's request? Please lead the way.”
The bear bowed ninety degrees again at this man whose words, actions, and every movement gave off elegance and shouted.
“I will escort you quickly, accurately, and safely, siiiiiiiiiir!”
“Haha.”
Alberu simply laughed.
He had a refreshing smile on his face as well.
* * *
Crown prince Alberu was finally able to meet Cale Henituse.
“Oh, your highness. It has been a while.”
The center of the Seventh Evil.
Dragon Lord Neo's lair.
Cale sat on the throne in that place and waved his hand at Alberu.
“Haha-”
Alberu laughed in a refreshing manner.
“…….”
Cale immediately came down from the throne.
“Human! The crown prince is laughing so scarily!”
He didn’t answer Raon.
