“Ugh-”
Choi Han looked down in shock.
Cale was still pale and slightly shaking.
– Choi Han! Why is our human like this?
He heard Raon's voice.
Baaaaang!
He then heard a loud explosion.
He looked up and saw that Sir Boltien was fighting against Bishop Serisa.
The clash was so intense that the students had already evacuated but the other Holy Knights did not dare to interject.
“Die, you motherfucking slave of the Sun God!”
The priests and Holy Knights that had followed Bishop Serisa until now turned pale at the words coming out of her mouth.
“…This is unbearable.”
Sir Boltien commented in a calm voice before lifting his greatsword high into the air.
“The moment the sunlight shines down.”
Ooooooooong.
His sword started to shake.
Once the sword turned white…
“Comes the heat that will burn through all.”
Crackle!
A golden aura shot up from the white sword.
“Keke. You idiots follow this shabby thing that cannot be seen in the darkness and call it light! How laughable!”
Bishop Serisa's body shook bizarrely as she laughed.
Ooooooooong-
She clenched her fist and more of the grey aura gathered around her and her sword became longer.
“…….”
“Die!”
Boltien silently and Serisa shouting a curse…
Baaaaaang!
The two of them clashed again.
An explosion that could not be compared to any explosions from earlier echoed out, shaking the entire room.
Boom!
The floor of the room sank down starting from the spot the two of them clashed.
Craaaaaaack-
The walls of the room started to crack from the impact.
“Evacuate the priests!”
“Lift up your shields!”
"Cast the Holy Barriers!”
Some of the knights moved quickly.
One of the knights looked toward Choi Han, urgently cast a barrier, and ran over.
“!”
However, he stopped.
Ooooooooong-
Cale, who was on the ground shaking and Choi Han, who was supporting him…
A white barrier formed around the two of them.
– Choi Han, don’t worry! I will protect you!
It was Raon's shield.
– The human said that you shouldn't use your powers, Choi Han! Use as little of your power today as possible!
The black aura. Don’t show it today.
Raon remembered Cale's stern warning.
“…Okay.”
Choi Han accepted Raon’s concern.
“Oo, oooo-”
Instead, he looked at Cale.
His complexion was getting better compared to earlier.
However, the way he was scowling as if he was annoyed-
‘Hmm?’
He could see that Cale was annoyed.
Choi Han subconsciously felt relieved at that moment.
– Choi Han! The human seems okay! His expressions are returning to their usual vivid displays!
‘They sure are.’
Choi Han, who almost subconsciously responded, flinched his shoulders.
He lifted his head up.
Slash!
“Ugggh!”
Boltien’s sword was in Serisa’s stomach.
The bishop's sword skills were quite high but it could not compare to Boltien, the strongest Holy Knight of the Sun God.
“Ugh!”
Blood dripped out of Serisa's mouth.
“!”
Choi Han was surprised after seeing the blood.
There was a grey liquid mixed together with the blood.
It was an eerie sight.
“Oooo…n, no-”
It was at that moment.
"Ca, my friend!”
Cale barely opened his mouth and slowly opened his eyes.
As Choi Han looked at him in shock…
“Bishop Serisa-nim. I will hear the details at the temple.”
Boltien sternly commented.
“Of course, your life will end right now if you make the slightest of movements.”
Only seriousness could be felt from this chilly warning.
However, Choi Han could not pay any attention to that.
He was too busy looking at Cale.
“Kahahaha!”
Serisa laughed out loud at that moment.
Drip drip. She seemed to be enjoying herself despite the blood dripping down her mouth.
“Oh, esteemed chaos! Finally, it is starting!”
Her hands moved as she said that.
"Shit, bishop!”
Boltien’s eyes opened wide.
Serisa grabbed Boltien’s sword with both hands.
It was the sword stabbed into her stomach.
Chhhh-
Her hands wrapped with grey smoke grabbed the sword, burning her palms.
The golden heat started to burn her hands.
“!”
Boltien urgently tried to pull the sword out, but…
Puuk!
Serisa stabbed the sword deeper into her.
She made it stick even farther into her stomach.
"Shit!”
Sir Boltien's years of experience allowed him to understand what was going on.
He urgently let go of the sword.
It was a precious sword, but…
“Keke. Too late! Oh start of chaos, begin with this lowly servant!”
It wasn’t as precious as his life.
Craaaaaaack.
The swollen grey veins in Serisa's body started to split.
Yes, her body split.
In that very short period of time…
Boltien opened his mouth the moment he saw it.
“Everybody dodge!”
However, he couldn't even finish his sentence.
The explosion was faster.
Baaaaang—!
Serisa's body exploded.
The grey smoke and liquid started to spread out in all directions.
He could tell just by looking that this aura was dangerous.
However, Boltien could not just escape from this aura.
‘Behind me!’
The two students were still behind him.
He saw the shield that had formed around them, but…
‘No.’
That grey aura was not something that could be stopped with a shield like that.
It was something that stimulated a dreadful and instinctual fear.
This thing that he could not identify, it was chaos itself.
‘No.’
Will I or the other Holy Knights and priests be able to dodge this power?
Most importantly…
What if this power escapes from the room?
“Fuck!”
Boltien came to a conclusion.
He charged toward the exploding Serisa.
Once the grey aura and liquid covered his body…
‘Let’s do whatever I can to stop it.’
“Oh heat of the sun!”
Through the rising golden lights….
Let’s use this divinity to stop it.
Boltien started to move following his conviction.
“!”
However, he could not do that.
“Eeeek!”
The exploding Serisa…
Through her cracking body, through the grey aura-
‘An eye!’
He saw an eye looking at him.
That eye felt like-
‘Yeah. A god-’
It made him think of an omnipotent presence.
The first time he received the Sun God’s power…
That mysterious omnipotent power that made him have no choice but to bow in front of that radiant light.
That power was looking at him right now.
However, unlike the Sun God, the current power made him feel suffocated.
His whole body stiffened.
It was fear.
No, was this really fear?
He couldn’t tell.
He couldn’t really tell anything from the moment he looked into those eyes. It was chaos itself.
It was at that moment.
“!”
Boltien saw something other than that eye.
‘A silver light?’
A silver thread appeared in front of him.
His stiffened body relaxed the moment he noticed it. The fear lessened.
‘What is this?’
Boltien felt something pull him back before he could question it.
The red-haired student, Choi Han, was pulling him.
“What-”
Before he could even ask the student what he was doing…
Baaaaaaaaaang-!
Serisa finally exploded.
Boltien saw something else in place of Serisa and the grey smoke.
Shaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-
There was a little breeze and he saw a pair of large wings.
The silver wings wrapped around the exploding Serisa.
“Ah.”
A shield existed at the center of those wings.
The silver shield and wings embraced Serisa.
‘Good.’
This power was definitely a ‘good’ power.
It was similar to the first time he experienced the warmth of the Sun God, but this refreshing feeling around him was different.
Wood.
Yes, it smelled like wood.
He could feel the scent of the forest.
“Ugh!”
Someone groaned behind him at that moment.
Boltien saw the blonde haired blue-eyed student. The hand of the student who had fainted earlier was pointed toward the shield. He could see that the silver thread that came out of this boy's hand was connected to the shield.
This student created this shield.
And he was currently bleeding.
[A skill has been created!]
[Skill: Indestructible Shield (Rank: EX. Impossible to determine)]
Cale took a deep breath.
– Human, I cast a shield inside your shield as well! I made it a total of five layers just in case!
It had been a while since Cale and Raon had created a shield together.
As a result, the aftershock of Serisa's explosion subsided.
Boom. Boom.
However, the explosion was so intense that the room shook and the cracks on the walls got bigger.
– But this isn’t much compared to Dragon Lord Neo!
That was right.
To the now stronger Cale and Raon, an explosion at the level of Bishop Serisa's was not that big of a deal.
– But human.
Raon’s voice turned serious.
– Why are you bleeding? Isn't doing this much as easy as eating cooled soup?
That was right.
But Cale coughed up a lot of blood.
[A side effect has been discovered regarding the skill!]
The skill was explaining the situation to him.
[Side effect: Coughing up blood]
[*The side effect can be mitigated by raising the mastery level.]
[Current mastery level: 0]
[*Warning: Even with an increase in mastery level, it is highly likely that the side effect will happen based on the level of power utilized.]
‘This motherfucking game.’
– Mm. It kind of feels like you returned to the beginning?
The Super Rock awkwardly commented.
– But your body is completely normal.
The crybaby answered brightly.
Although Cale had coughed up blood, his body was completely fine.
But Cale had no chance to respond to them.
[Shake hands with the believer of chaos (Serisa)!]
A connecting quest popped up as soon as he finished the quest.
[Go to the location where Serisa first greeted chaos!]
Cale had seen the spot in Serisa’s memories.
It had been an extremely grotesque and dreadful sight.
The quest clearly marked the location as well.
It was one of the three strongs.
The third place in addition to the Eastern Empire and the Western Empire…
“…Lan.”
The Land of Training, The Northern Lan Kingdom.
That place was different from the Western Empire.
If Cale had to pick a similar place among the places he had visited-
‘The Martial Arts world.’
That place was similar to the Martial Arts world.
Cale had a thought after confirming the specific spot in the Lan Kingdom he had to go toward for this quest.
‘Do I have to call the Heavenly Demon?’
However, he could not finish that thought.
Shaaaaaaaaaaa-
The silver shield disappeared with the single strand of breeze.
What remained in its place was a bit of grey liquid.
Plop. Drip.
That liquid seeped into the floor and started to pollute the area.
‘The pollution of chaos.’
A phenomenon similar to what happened to Choi Jung Gun started to happen.
Cale didn't have a chance to confirm it though.
“…Excuse me, may I ask who are the two of you?”
Sir Boltien approached Cale and Choi Han.
He was suddenly speaking respectfully to the two of them.
“Sir, why is it that one of you have a sword with the power of the sun-”
Choi Han.
“While the other has a mysterious holy power?”
Cale.
The moment he looked at each of them and said that…
Cale realized the commotion around them and opened his mouth.
He spoke quietly so that only Boltien could hear.
“Evil.”
‘What?’
As Boltien’s eyes looked full of disbelief…
“Or we may be good.”
Cale said that and smiled.
“All I can say is that we are fighting against the ones trying to destroy this world.”
Boltien walked closer to Cale.
The man with the pale complexion and bloodied clothes…
“What do you mea-”
What do you mean by that?
He wanted to ask him.
“!”
However, Cale raised his hand to stop him from getting closer.
Boltien looked at the person who saved him, no, the person who bled while saving everybody from Serisa's explosion. He looked at the only person in pain in this place.
“I am associated with evil.”
Boltien’s body stiffened at Cale’s comment.
‘He’s evil?’
He could not believe it.
Boltien could not look away from the weakly smiling Cale, he could not look away from Cale’s bloodied lips.
“Sir Boltien. We cannot mix with you.”
That was right.
If they were associated with evil, they could not mix together.
“So please don’t come any closer.”
The student was right.
However, Boltien’s instincts were telling him that he was wrong.
"We've saved each other today so let’s just call it even.”
The blonde man smiled and got up.
Choi Han supported Cale.
– Human, are we teleporting away?
Ooooooooong.
A black light soon flashed and created a teleportation magic circle.
Cale said goodbye to Sir Boltien.
“Goodbye then.”
Because he had no reason to get involved with Sir Boltien from here on, nor any thoughts of wanting to do so.
He was just a passerby.
However, Boltien did not feel that way.
A Holy Knight.
As someone who had been in that position for a long time, Boltien realized that he was at an extremely important crossroad right now.
“Hold on!”
Boltien urgently opened his mouth.
“Can you at least tell me what is going on?!”
The great bishop, Serisa…
He needed to know the truth behind what happened today through her.
However, the man who called himself evil did not easily answer.
“Chaos.”
He said that word and warned Boltien with a serious look on his face.
“Be wary of chaos. And find it.”
Chaos.
This existence had been hindering Boltien for many days.
Cale had a thought while watching Boltien.
‘Yeah.
We may end up meeting this guy later, so…
Let’s just throw out some bait.’
“I'm sure you will come to the same answer that I have.”
Cale continued to speak to Boltien.
“If that happens, I'm sure we will end up working together to protect our homes.”
Boltien could not say anything to the man’s profound statement.
“Regardless of our association…”
Regardless of our association, we will end up working together to protect our homes.
“…….”
Boltien could not say anything.
He could not work alongside ‘evil.’
The blonde man smiled gently as if he understood Boltien’s feelings and gently waved.
“Then, goodbye for now. Maybe we will meet again in the future.”
Paaaat!
The two men disappeared from in front of Boltien.
“Boss! Is it okay to let them off like this? They are involved with this incident. Shouldn't we interrogate them?”
One of the Holy Knights who had been warily looking urgently ran over and asked, but…
Boltien still could not say anything.
He just stared at the spot where Cale disappeared from and then opened his mouth.
“He saved my life.”
“Mm.”
Boltien didn't even look at his groaning subordinate and spoke quietly.
“…I'm sure that the Sun will answer if I seek out chaos.”
Yes.
He should eventually see the way if he does that.
Boltien was certain about something.
‘I think I’ll see them again.’
Those two men…
He felt like he would see them again soon.
His instincts about things like this were pretty accurate.
‘I also need to look into the Church of the Sun God.
The identity of that sword with the power of the sun as well.
I'm sure that something-
Something I don’t know about is happening here.’
Boltien’s gaze sank down.
However, the gleam in his eyes was clear and firm.
* * *
“Let’s call the Heavenly Demon.”
“The Heavenly Demon?”
“Yeah.”
Cale planned on heading right over to the northern Lan Kingdom for the quest.
Raon interjected at that moment.
“Human. Isn’t that place close to where the crown prince is headed?”
"It is.”
Choi Han opened his mouth.
“Then let’s pass this Sun Sword off to his highness too.”
“Yeah.”
Cale decided to go to the Lan Kingdom to meet with the Heavenly Demon and Alberu.
